This Evening’s Wine Special~

Idlewild Arneis Lost Hills Ranch 2020
Idlewild Wines is based in Healdsburg, CA. Arneis is a white wine grape variety most associated with Piedmont in northwest Italy. The name Arneis translates to “little rascal” in the local dialect, a fitting moniker given the grape’s trickiness in the vineyard. The Idlewild Arneis is grown in the Yorkville Highlands – A unique appellation placed in between the warm, Sonoma County Alexander Valley and the cooler Mendocino County’s Anderson Valley. The 2020 vintage is pale golden color, with floral aromas and a medium to full body, flavors of pear, apricot, tangerine, hazelnut and almond. The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks. Secondary fermentation and aging for four months in neutral oak on lees adds texture and complexity.
